For numerous years, Faux Effects International, Inc. has been a longtime supporter of the International Decorative Artisans League (IDAL). We were pleased again to sponsor the Conference held in Greensboro, North Carolina at the Grandover Resort & Spa with Faux Effects® product and workshop donations and event snack stations. This year’s event featured training workshops, Q&A sessions, a vendor exhibition day, outing to the High Point Furniture Mart and finale dinner reception. This annual event is a great way for professional decorative finishers, artists and DIY’ers to learn the latest decorative trends and products in the industry. Many thanks to Gary Lord (Prismatic Painting Studio-Cincinnati, Ohio), David Hsueh (Shanghai Lunyuan International Trade Co. Ltd.-Shanghai, China), Donna Phelps (Sarasota School of Faux & Architectural Finishing-Sarasota, Florida), and Rebecca Slaton (Public Relations & Marketing Director, Faux Effects International, Inc.) for showcasing the Faux Effects® brand and adding to this year’s convention’s success.

Education is the mission and substance of the International Decorative Artisans League. As a nonprofit educational organization, IDAL brings creative, artistic and business training to its members. Lectures and hands-on training in classes are provided regionally through chapter workshops.

Faux Effects International, Inc. was once again pleased and honored to sponsor the 2017 ArtFusion Event, which was held in Black Mountain, North Carolina. This industry event has been tagged as “the hippest event of the year” for decorative painters and artists alike. Workshops, demonstrations, gatherings/parties and an exhibition were all part of this fun-filled, week-long event.

Faux Effects® showcased cabinet finishes and coordinating products, such as Stain & Seal™ and SetCoat® bonding paint, at the Expo. The Faux Effects® booth had non-stop action with decorative finishers touching and feeling actual cabinet samples, and also having the opportunity for question and answer sessions….not to mention plenty of goodies and samples to take home! A highlight of the event was the annual Fauxtini night, sponsored by Faux Effects®, where a special cocktail was created to celebrate. ArtFusion is great way for all to connect with new and old friends, and to learn the latest trends in the decorative finishing industry. Next year’s event is to be held in Estes Park, Colorado October 1-5, 2018 and not to be missed!
